City Slam Champs

Sorry I have not been keeping up, I have been busy playing softball. Good News is, we won our second tournament in a row. One of our biggest tournaments of the year at Mid_America Ballyard, formerly Eggleston. We went 7-1 to win it and took a $2,000 cash prize, but most importantly, bragging rights in the city.

Back-to-Back

We finally won our first tournament of the year. Too many 2nd and 3rd place finishes before, but we have been pretty solid. We are now 1st in points in the Great Lakes region, and #10 in the country.

Wifey's Birthday

Ashley turned 26 today, had to go to her favorite place in PF Changs. It was good, but I am more of the Cheeseburger and Fry kinda guy. This is the 12th birthday I have spent with her, and it's kinda scary!! Wouldn't change any of it though.

Got her some plaid Sperrys, and some D&G Sunglasses. I'd say she came out on top!

I did miss the Wale concert tonite at the Gypsy Hut, but it was well worth missing this one. I'll catch him another time..

Bengals Ink Pro Bowl Safety Roy Williams

The agent for five-time Pro Bowl safety Roy Williams confirmed Wednesday the Bengals have reached an agreement as the club added its third impact player on defense in a month.

"There were a couple of teams offering considerable more money, but Roy liked the fit in Cincinnati," Jordan Woy said. "It's a good fit for both sides really. Roy obviously has a great relationship with (defensive coordinator) Mike Zimmer and he's excelled in that defense and the Bengals are happy to get a guy like that for their defense."

Woy wouldn't comment on terms, but said, "It's a short-term deal with incentives so both sides can get their feet wet with the situation and we'll go from there."

Williams, once the most feared hitter in the NFL, went to four Pro Bowls under Zimmer after the the Cowboys made him the eighth pick in the 2002 draft.

An already improving young defense just got that much better. Once again, I am sorry for those that gave up their tickets! I feel something special coming on this season!

As always, news has leaked early, and the Cleveland plain Dealer has reported that Cleveland Cavaliers Forward, LeBron James has won the NBA's Most Valuable Player award for the 2008-2009 Season. The Akron native is in his 6th season, and is the second youngest player to win the honor!

The announcement will be made at James' alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, the reports said. The Cavaliers called a news conference for 4 p.m. ET but didn't specify the nature of the event.

His Cavaliers teammates were expected to attend.

My Dad always told me to never quit on anything as a little guy, and he reiterated that to me again tonite after the Yankees blew a 4-0 lead to the Angels. All I could do was bitch about the bullpen! I stopped watching the game, turned it back on enough time to watch them rally in the 8th and 9th. Yankees win the game 10-9, and Jorge Posada clutched up as usual. With him and Jeter in the lineup, I can never Give Up on them.
