As always, news has leaked early, and the Cleveland plain Dealer has reported that Cleveland Cavaliers Forward, LeBron James has won the NBA's Most Valuable Player award for the 2008-2009 Season. The Akron native is in his 6th season, and is the second youngest player to win the honor!
The announcement will be made at James' alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, the reports said. The Cavaliers called a news conference for 4 p.m. ET but didn't specify the nature of the event.
His Cavaliers teammates were expected to attend.
